CoolSculpt

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-surgical fat reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling and pressure to eliminate stubborn fat. There is no downtime and you may resume normal exercise and activity immediately. Results will gradually develop over 2 to 4 months following your treatment. Depending on your treatment plan, CoolSculpting will remove 20 to 40 percent of the fat from the treatment area. For most patients and most body areas, we recommend at least 2 treatments to achieve desired results. How does the fat get eliminated? Your body breaks down and processes the injured fat cells. These fat cells are eliminated permanently and cannot grow back. However, weight gain will prevent you from appreciating your full results. How do I maximize my treatment results? Maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine is crucial to maximizing your results. Similar to liposuction, CoolSculpting kills and eliminates fat cells from the treated area. If you are eating more calories than you are burning off, the extra fat will be stored as fat in other body areas. Is there any downtime? No, patients may experience slight swelling or redness, but it should subside after a few hours. Patients can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.
