PRP for Hair Loss
What is PRP for hair loss?
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma and is a medical treatment in which the patient’s blood is drawn, processed, and then injected into the scalp. PRP injections promote natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle.
How many treatments are needed?
We recommend 4 treatments about 4-6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 4-6 months.
Does it hurt?
Some patients report a small amount of pain and discomfort during the procedure, but it does not last longer than a few minutes.
