Courtney Brown is a native Houstonian and grew up in the Kingwood area. After graduating Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas in 2010, she worked for many years with Dr. Craig Teller at Bellaire Dermatology. She returned to school to get her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Women’s University. While in nursing school, Courtney was a member of the nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau, and a professional student nurse extern at MD Anderson. After graduation, she began work as a research nurse in Melanoma Medical Oncology at MD Anderson. During this time, she worked on complex clinical trials managing patients with metastatic melanoma. In December 2020, she was awarded her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston Cizik School of Nursing.
Courtney is fortunate to have most of her extended family in the Houston area, so when she is not working, she enjoys being with her family and friends. Courtney has a wonderful husband, Wells, who gave her two beautiful daughters, Avery and Annabelle, and four dogs.
