Dr. Mildred Lopez Pineiro, a native of San Juan, PR earned her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. She completed one year of Internal Medicine at Duke University Hospital and went on to graduate from Dermatology residency at UT Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Following residency, she went on to complete an ASDS Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at Skin Associates of South Florida, previous practice of world-renowned cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Fredric Brandt.
Dr. Lopez is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her areas of interest include facial aesthetics, laser medicine, complex medical dermatology and clinical research. She is co-author of articles and chapters published in national and international journals and is currently co-author of a Dermatology Times column on lasers and their uses in the dermatologic field. Dr. Lopez has been featured in Univision for her knowledge and opinion in Dermatology. She has also lectured in a variety of meetings nationally.
When not in the office, Dr. Lopez enjoys long distance running, spending time with her family and traveling.
