Dr. Mildred Lopez Pineiro, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, earned her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. She completed a year of Internal Medicine at Duke University Hospital and then graduated from Dermatology residency at UT Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Following residency, she went on to complete an ASDS Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at Skin Associates of South Florida, previous practice of world-renowned cosmetic dermatologist, Dr. Frederic Brandt.
Dr. Lopez is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is co-author of articles and chapters published in national and international journals and was co-author of a Dermatology Times column on lasers and their uses in the dermatologic field.
Dr. Lopez has been featured on Univision for her expertise and continues to lecture around the country. She was a spokesperson for Dove in 2022.

Dr. Kayla McNiece, a native of Abilene, TX, earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston (2014). In 2018, she completed her dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and became a member of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Following residency, she fulfilled an ACMS accredited, highly competitive surgical fellowship for Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction at Skin Care Physicians of Georgia. Dr. McNiece has performed over 2000 Mohs surgical cases for difficult and recurrent skin cancers. Although she specializes in dermatologic surgery, she also has expertise in general dermatology and facial aesthetics.
Dr. McNiece is the author or co-author of articles published in national journals and textbooks and has presented at national and international meetings. Her professional interests include skin cancer, facial reconstruction, tropical dermatology, and complex medical dermatology. Her belief in professional and patient education inspires her to lecture medical students, residents, and non-dermatologists on numerous skin conditions. She has a strong, unwavering commitment for excellence and superior care for each patient every day.
Howard B. Gerber, M.D. is a board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist who has over 20 years of experience caring for patients with a wide variety of skin conditions.
A native Houstonian (and a Bellaire High School graduate), he completed his B.S. in psychology from Duke University. Following medical school at the University of Texas Medical School-Houston, he completed an internship in transitional medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He went on to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center to complete his dermatology residency, followed by a fellowship in dermatopathology.
Since 1992, Dr. Gerber has practiced both dermatology and dermatopathology. After spending a few years practicing in Oklahoma, he returned to Houston and established Bellaire Dermatology with Dr. Teller in 1997. In addition to seeing clinical patients, he has served as a consultant dermatopathologist to various clinical laboratories in the Houston area.
His areas of interest include: autoimmune disorders such as psoriasis and lupus erythematous, pediatric dermatology including acne, early detection and management of skin cancers including melanoma.
Dr. Craig F. Teller, MD, is a native Houstonian and has been practicing dermatology since 1995. He is an honors graduate of the University of Texas at Houston Medical School. After an internship in internal medicine at UT Houston, he completed his dermatology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Teller is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology as well as Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and Baylor College of Medicine. He enjoys teaching other physicians and has given more than 1,000 presentations and lectures nationally on a variety of topics, including advanced cosmetic procedures, advanced psoriasis care, atopic dermatitis, phlebology, laser treatments, and challenging skin conditions. He is recognized as a national trainer for his expertise in the use of cosmetic injectables and for his use of biologics for the treatment of psoriasis and eczema and JAK inhibitors. He is a Principal Investigator and clinical researcher doing FDA and investigator initiated clinical trials for many top tier pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Teller is consistently recognized as a Top Doctor by his medical peers in several national publications, including Texas Monthly from 1999-2022. He is the author or of numerous articles published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, British Journal of Dermatology, Psoriasis Forum, EADV, and poster exhibits at national and international meetings. Dr. Teller’s philosophy is, “At Bellaire Dermatology, we believe in creating a customized plan for everyone, no cookie cutter approach. Our goal is to make clients look natural and look like the best version of themselves. We stand behind what we do, and we care about our clients.”
When not practicing, Dr. Teller enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling, wine, and sports of all kinds.
Dr. Casey Wang was born and raised in Houston, TX. She obtained an undergraduate engineering degree from Rice University and received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Subsequently she participated in clinical trials for several years before completing her residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After graduating from residency, Dr. Wang continued to work on clinical trials and has practiced in both private practice and academic settings.
Dr. Wang is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and is a fellow of the AAD. She has authored many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Dr. Wang’s clinical interests include medical dermatology, clinical research, and cosmetic dermatology. In her free time, Dr. Wang enjoys playing classical piano, listening to opera, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Wang is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Courtney Brown is a native Houstonian and grew up in the Kingwood area. After graduating Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas in 2010, she worked for many years with Dr. Craig Teller at Bellaire Dermatology. She returned to school to get her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Women’s University.
While in nursing school, Courtney was a member of the nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau, and a professional student nurse extern at MD Anderson. After graduation, she began work as a research nurse in Melanoma Medical Oncology at MD Anderson. During this time, she worked on complex clinical trials managing patients with metastatic melanoma. In December 2020, she was awarded her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston Cizik School of Nursing.
Courtney is fortunate to have most of her extended family in the Houston area, so when she is not working, she enjoys being with her family and friends. Courtney has a wonderful husband, Wells, who gave her two beautiful daughters, Avery and Annabelle, and four dogs.
Shelby Bonn, MPAS, PA-C, grew up in Flower Mound, Texas, prior to graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University in 2015. Shelby then attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX where she obtained her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies in 2017. While in PA school, she was awarded the Lewis A. Leavitt, MD Academic Excellence Award, for achieving the highest scholastic honor in her graduating class.
Shelby spent the first four years of her career practicing in obstetrics & gynecology in San Antonio, Texas. She is excited to transition to dermatology and help both men and women with their dermatologic needs. Shelby is certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
Outside of the office, Shelby enjoys gardening, DIY projects, cheering on the Aggies at football games, and spending time with her husband and rescue dog. She is excited to be serving the Houston community. She provides medical dermatology services and is a participating member of the clinical research team.
Allison Bootin, PA-C joined the Bellaire Dermatology group in June 2020. Allison was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and pursued her educational career in New York. She specializes in both medical and cosmetic dermatology treatments and strives to give her patients long term results.
She received her Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology from New York University. Post-graduation, Allison found her love for dermatology while she worked as a Medical Assistant at a local dermatologist in New York City. She then completed her Physician’s Assistant studies at Pace University, Manhattan in 2019.
Allison is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and holds certifications from NCCPA, BLS and ACLS Certification, and Infection Control. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. While she is not caring for her patients, Allison enjoys spinning, flower arranging, and discovering new restaurants.
Kristie Borne is a master’s educated Physician Assistant with over 10 years experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She has been practicing as a PA since 2007, receiving her Master’s degree at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, IL as well as completing a surgical residency program. The first five years she was in practice, she was a surgical PA and then transitioned to dermatology and has been working in that field since. Kristie is skilled at performing in-office dermatological procedures as well as master trained and certified in cosmetic injections and aesthetic laser applications.
Kristie has been recognized for the ability to deliver impactful results. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the State of Texas Physician Assistant Board.
Kristie grew up in Wisconsin and has practiced in the states of Colorado and Texas. She is proud to call Houston her home now. She is married with 3 sons and enjoys running, traveling and being a proud spectator at her son’s sporting events.
Elizabeth Charpiot Mackie, MPAS, PA-C, grew-up in the nearby small town of Bellville, Texas, but has long called Houston home. Elizabeth works in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, focusing primarily on the evaluation, treatment and prevention of skin cancers. In addition to performing comprehensive skin examinations, she ensures elimination of dysplastic nevi, cyst excision, and skin cancers. She has received specialized training in laser therapy, Botox, Dysport and Kybella. Elizabeth is an advocate of the advances CoolSculpting technology has to offer patients. She regularly participates in continuing medical education programming to stay current on the latest in dermatological developments.
Elizabeth received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and joined Bellaire Dermatology in 2013. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, she spent eight years in Marketing and Client Development for several Houston-based international law firms. After leaving the corporate world to pursue a second career in medicine, Elizabeth spent a year working in pediatric neurology in San Antonio. Elizabeth completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
Elizabeth is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants, Texas Association of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Paige Yelich, MPAS, PA-C, grew up in Katy, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 and obtained her Master of
Physician Assistant studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in August of 2019. Paige has been with our team since October 2019.
Paige is passionate about educating her patients and managing their various dermatologic and cosmetic concerns. From treating teenage acne, to performing full body skin exams to survey for skin cancer, Paige is highly trained and equipped to manage acute and chronic dermatological skin conditions. Paige performs a variety of cosmetic services including neurotoxin injections, PRP and laser procedures.
Paige is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants licensed by the Texas Medical Board. She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, where she completed a diplomate fellowship. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Texas Association of Physician Assistants. Paige stays up to date with current dermatologic and cosmetic therapeutics by frequently attending conferences and reading dermatology journals.
Outside of the office, Paige enjoys traveling, attending concerts, spending time at the lake and hanging out with her friends and family. She is a proud Longhorn and loves cheering on the UT football team at home games in Austin! Paige is excited to be a part of the Bellaire Dermatology family and serve the Houston community.
Natalie’s interest in skin health began during her time working at the cosmetic front office and concierge. She guided patients, helping them come up with the best treatment plan for their skin and selected products aligned with optimum skin health in mind.
Natalie specializes in lasers, chemical peels, and CoolSculpting. Her favorite treatments are Diamond Glow and Clear and Brilliant followed by her favorite skincare brands – SkinMedica and SkinCeuticals’ Phloretin CF.
Outside of the treatment room you will find Natalie spending time with her children Leah and Liam, family, and friends. She enjoys traveling and shopping. A native New Yorker, she cultivated a love of learning about various cultures and traditions when she moved to Houston.
Zuzana has honed her skills and knowledge in the industry learning about skin care brands while working at Neiman Marcus. She graduated from CIDESCO’s Institute of Cosmetology & Esthetics ICE) in 2015. She is certified in a vast array of aesthetic procedures and specializes in chemical peels.
Born in Poland and immigrating to the United State at a young age, Zuzanna now calls Sugar Land, Texas home.
Outside of Bellaire Dermatology, you can find her spending time with her furry friends (three dogs and two cats), tending to her garden, and taking trips to the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Lori is a results-driven skin care provider and Certified Laser Technician. She started her medical career as a Surgical Technologist and her passion for skin care inspired her to move into medical aesthetics. She has spent the last few years training under Dr Craig Teller and was excited to add the dermatology experience to her broad knowledge base.
Since then, she has attended many additional advanced aesthetic training courses in microneedling, Ultherapy, Cool Sculpting, Clear & Brilliant laser, as well as advanced chemical peel training. She believes the esthetics industry offers an on-going learning experience, and keeping up with available knowledge is key to providing the best skin care treatments.
Lori has her finger on the pulse of the industry and is constantly advancing her treatments to keep up with the latest innovations in the field.

Harmony Saqr is the Clinical Research Supervisor for Bellaire Dermatology’s Center of Clinical Research.
She has worked in world of dermatology since 2014 and has 10+ years of experience in clinical trials. Prior to joining Bellaire Dermatology, she was a Clinical Research Coordinator for Oncology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Pulmonology, Otolaryngology, Family Medicine, and Urology.
She truly enjoys playing a part in discovering the newest and most innovative treatments for her patients.
Amanda Romero is a Clinical Research Coordinator for Bellaire Dermatology’s Center of Clinical Research.
She has been in the medical field for 9 years working as a PCA in Orthopedics, Heart and Vascular ICU. She found her passion for clinical research while conducting clinical trials for post-operative pain medication.
She has 4 beautiful children ranging from ages 5 to 19 years old.
Maribel Rodriguez is a Bilingual Clinical Research Coordinator. She has worked for Bellaire Dermatology since 2001 first as a Medical Assistant and joined the Research Team in 2017.
With over 18 years of dermatology experience, she is most passionate about providing excellent patient care according to specific needs.
Maribel has been married for 20 years and is a proud mom of 3 children.
Zoe’s goal is to create a results-oriented treatment plan for her patients. She provides customized treatment plans and skincare regimens so they can achieve their body contouring and skincare goals.
Her favorite treatment is CoolTone, and her favorite product is SkinMedica’s Firm and Tone. Driven by the desire to be the best in her field, she obtained her Texas Esthetician license from the CIDESCO Institute of Cosmetology, Esthetics & Massage.
In addition, she received her Master’s Certificate from CoolSculpting University.
When Zoe is not taking care of patients, she spends time exploring Houston with friends and family.
