The Opportunity
Bellaire Dermatology is seeking an experienced or fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon to join our established team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and collaborative practice. This is an opportunity to join an established dermatology practice with a strong referral network, excellent patient population, and significant demand for specialized skin cancer treatment.
The Mohs surgeon will have the opportunity to develop and grow a dedicated Mohs surgical practice while collaborating closely with our general and cosmetic dermatologists.
Responsibilities
- Perform Mohs micrographic surgery for appropriate cutaneous malignancies • Provide comprehensive surgical management of skin cancer patients
- Conduct preoperative consultations and develop individualized surgical treatment plans • Perform complex repairs and reconstructive procedures as appropriate to the surgeon’s training and expertise
- Evaluate and manage patients throughout the perioperative period
- Provide patient education regarding skin cancer, treatment options, sun protection, and surveillance
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians and dermatology colleagues • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with the practice’s dermatologists, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and support staff
- Participate in quality improvement and practice growth initiatives
- Remain current with advances in Mohs surgery, cutaneous oncology, reconstruction, and evidence-based treatment
- Contribute to a positive, collegial, and patient-focused practice culture

Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Dermatology
- Fellowship-trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology • Active Texas medical license
- Strong clinical and surgical skills
- Experience performing Mohs micrographic surgery and complex cutaneous reconstruction
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
- Ability to work effectively in a busy outpatient surgical environment
- Collaborative approach to working with dermatologists, physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and support staff
- Commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with advances in Mohs surgery and cutaneous oncology
